Solskjaer Wan-Bissaka MUFC

Manchester United have been looking for a new right back for some time and the latest name in the lime light is that of Jeremie Frimpong.

According to Football Transfers, Man Utd are eager to secure the signing of the Bayer Leverkusen starlet and could even make a move in the January transfer window.

The news source have mentioned that Erik ten Hag is prepared to offload right back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, if a suitable offer arrives.

The English fullback was bought by former manager and club legend, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, from Crystal Palace but he has been highly inconsistent at Old Trafford.

In the current campaign, Diogo Dalot has mainly played in the right back role under Ten Hag. The Portuguese international has been solid defensively but he is not good going forward.

Last season, the Seleccao player featured in 30 games for Man Utd and he neither scored a goal nor provided even a single assist. This season, so far, in 17 games, he has netted a goal and provided 2 assists.

Frimpong is a versatile talent, who can effectively play as a right back, right midfielder and even as a right winger if needed.

Last term, the 21-year-old directly contributed in 11 goals (2 goals and 9 assists) in all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen. This season, so far, he has scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 17 games.

The Dutch player’s current contract with the German Bundesliga side will expire in 2025 and reports (Sport1) suggest that he is valued at around 30 million euros (£25.8million).

In your view, should Man Utd spend £25.8million to sign Jeremie Frimpong in January?
