Manchester United appointed Ruben Amorim as their new manager back in November and it has been three months since. Progress has been at a snail-pace, if at all, and the Portuguese tactician is struggling to get results on the pitch.
Currently sitting 13th in the Premier League table, it doesn’t seem like Manchester United are going to enjoy much sporting success this season. Even a top-7 finish seems rather unlikely unless the Red Devils can go on a winning run between now and the end of the season.

Manchester United need to make decisions for the summer transfer window and they need to make signings that could help propel the project forward. There are a lot of issues that the current squad has and gaps that they need to fill.
Now, as per Team Talk, Manchester United are expected to secure the summer signing of talented striker and a number of top players are in the lime light.
One of them is Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting CP. He is one of the best strikers in Europe for the last couple of seasons, Amorim knows him all too well.
It was under the Portuguese tactician that Gyokeres really blossomed as a striker and became the player that he is today. He has been scoring goals for fun since 2024 and next summer, he will surely get a much deserved transfer to Europe’s elite.
One of Manchester United’s biggest issues so far this season has been a lack of goals from their strikers. Both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have been extremely inconsistent in attack and this makes Gyokeres an ideal signing.
In 35 games across all competitions so far this season, Gyokeres has scored 34 goals and provided seven assists.
That kind of efficiency is exactly what Man Utd need in front of goal and the Amorim factor might convince him to come to Old Trafford.
The report mentions that a fee of around £58.3m would convince the Portuguese club to sell their star striker.
Man Utd should be all over this deal in the summer and let’s wait and see how things play out in this transfer saga going forward.
