Manchester United are constantly linked with a highly rated Slovakian center defender in the form of Milan Skriniar.

On 5th January, Tutto Mercato Web reported that the Red Devils have offered terms to the Inter Milan star to bring him to Old Trafford.

Yesterday, Tancredi Palmeri covered a story on TMW and claimed that Man Utd have already made a move of €60million to sign the 23-year-old star but if the Nerazzurri do let him leave, then they should ask for a fee of €90million.

As per reports in Britain, the former Sampdoria man is rated at around £90million (The Daily Mail).

For those who do not know, Palmeri is a very renowned Italian journalist. He was the one, who confirmed the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic (TalkSport) to Old Trafford days before the club made the official announcement.

So, if he is saying that United made an offer for Skriniar then we should probably believe that the club’s interest in signing the center half is concrete.

£90million is a mammoth price tag and Woodward should look to offload a few out of form central defenders to sign Skriniar. This season, Lindelof has arguably been our most consistent CB, so, we should keep him. I won’t mind if the likes of Rojo, Jones, Smalling and Bailly are sold.

The defenses are usually strong in the Italian Serie A and Skriniar is regarded one of the best center halves in the country. He has what it takes to fill the void left by legends and leaders like Ferdinand and Vidic.

Interim boss, Solskjaer has brought winning mentality back much to the delight of the United faithful and he should be given the chance to secure key signings this month in order to earn Champions League qualification for next season.
