Manchester United suffered yet another defeat in the Premier League last night (at the hands of Man City). Now, it will not come as any surprise if the Red Devils fail to finish in the top four.
The Old Trafford club desperately need to strengthen key areas in the summer transfer window to bounce back in the next campaign.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then Man United are linked with Belgian international and PSG star Thomas Meunier.
Transfer: Club hoping Man United will move to sign £283,000-a-week star
According to L’Equipe, the 27-year-old defender could leave the Ligue 1 champions in the summer transfer window. The renowned French outlet have mentioned that Man Utd have designated a representative, who has watched the Belgian star play in recent months.
L’Equipe have further mentioned that the player’s current contract with PSG will expire in 2020 and he is rated at around £22m-£26m.
As far as Manchester United’s right back position is concerned, veterans Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia must be sold and an experienced star should be bought by Solskjaer.
Lately, Meunier has missed more than a few games due to injury and United should take that record into consideration before luring him
Nevertheless, in my view, a versatile player like Meunier, who can effectively play in the attack as well, would be a top capture for United.
In the current campaign, so far he has played 20 league games, scored 3 goals and also provided 4 assists.
In your opinion, should United splash the cash to sign the former Brugge defender?
