Man Utd have doubled offer to sign £42million playmaker – Report

Dani Olmo first goal for Spain

Manchester United were tormented and humiliated by arch rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford in the Premier League and things need to change if we are to bounce back.

Our backline was clueless vs the Reds and even after spending a lot of cash to improve the attack, we were unable to score against the Merseysiders.

Transfer: Man Utd told £577,000-a-week offer will reach agreement for signing- Report

Lately, the Red Devils have been linked with Dani Olmo and as per Bild, Man United are one of the favorites to hire the services of the Spanish international.

Moreover, Spanish source El Nacional have reported that Man Utd have doubled their offer to sign Olmo from Leipzig but for now, Barca are in pole position to hire his services.

It is stated that the 23-year-old playmaker’s current market value is around 50 million euros (£42million) and if Barca, who have financial concerns, are unable to complete the operation then the player would consider other options.

Last season, the La Furia Roja star scored 7 goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions under the management of Julian Nagelsmann. He was exceptional for Spain at the Euro 2020. However, this season, he has mainly spent time on the treatment table and is still out with a muscle injury.

Ole need to improve the quality and depth of the Man Utd squad but in all fairness, he might not be the right man for the job. The Norwegian has had ample funds, support and time but there has been little progress and we have not won a single trophy.

In your view, should Solskjaer get more cash to improve the squad in the winter transfer window?
