The Rome based media outlet have mentioned that now, Man Utd have ‘come forward forcefully’ to secure the signing of Zirkzee.
The 23-year-old impressed for Bologna in the last campaign and is currently at the European Championships with the Netherlands.
Last night, the Oranje defeated Turkiye 2-1 in the quarter finals of the competition and Zirkzee made his senior international debut after coming on as a late substitute.
Next week, the Dutch will collide against the Three Lions in the semi final of Euro 2024.
Bologna skipper, Lewis Ferguson, has heavily praised the striker and claimed that he would be an “excellent” signing for anyone.
The Scottish star stated (via Corriere di Bologna):
“I’m good friends with Zirkzee, he was amazing for us last year. I see that Milan and Manchester United are looking for him: I’m sure he will be an excellent signing for anyone.”
The youngster netted 12 goals for Bologna last season, on the other hand, Hojlund found the net 16 times in all competitions for Ten Hag.
In your opinion, would Zirkzee be an upgrade to the Danish forward? Is he good enough to reinforce the Man Utd strike-force?
