Man Utd ‘have moved in time’ to finally sign £73million forward – Report

Man Utd have been linked with Joshua Zirkzee for months and the latest reports indicate they have moved in to finally sign him this summer.

In March, Corriere dello Sport reported that the Old Trafford outfit have strong intereste in luring the striker, who has a 40 million euros clause only valid for former club Bayern.

Last month, La Gazzetta Dello Sport revealed that Bologna will ask for a fee of £73million from Man Utd for Zirkzee, since they paid a similar amount to land Hojlund last year.

Yesterday’s version of the Milan based outlet have contradicting and intriguing updates.

GdS claim the 23-year-old striker has got an attractive termination clause worth 40 million euros and it is valid for all the clubs.

However, the exit clause will only come into play from 1st till the 15th of July.

Bologna want to hold on to him but in Italy, Milan and Juve want to sign him and the Premier League is a big threat where United and Arsenal ‘boast richer portfolios’.

Gazzetta state Man Utd ‘have moved in time’ and have the spending power to sign Zirkzee in the summer transfer window.

The Dutch international featured in 34 games in the Serie A for Bologna, scored 11 goals and provided 5 assists to help them earn Champions League qualification after 60 years.

Netherlands boss, Ronald Koeman, named the young forward in his provisional squad for the Euros but yesterday, the final list was revealed and he has been dropped.

  1. Yes, Zirkzee will be an excellent signing to give Rasmus competition without hindering his progress and in line with the club’s new policy of going for players below 25 years of age.
