The media outlet have mentioned that the Serie A side are actively looking at options to replace the Dutch center forward.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Red Devils have contacted the representatives of the player to inquire about signing him.

United’s interest is concerning for AC Milan, who are willing to pay the release clause of £33.7million to sign the former Bundesliga striker, but do not want to pay the commission fee of 15 million euros demanded by his agent.

Gazzetta claim, Man Utd paid around £59million to sign Hojlund from Italy last summer and therefore, they do not appear ‘ready’ to pay £33.7million for another ‘made in Italy’ striker in the form of Zirkzee.

As per The Athletic, the Premier League side’s interest in luring the 23-year-old forward is at an advanced stage.

David Ornstein claims Man Utd have held talks with the reps of Zirkzee and are exploring a deal to get his signing done.

The Euro 2024 forward netted 11 goals in 34 league appearances for Bologna last term. Do you think he is good enough to reinforce the strike-force at Old Trafford?
