Federico Chiesa Fiorentina

Manchester United have been linked with Federico Chiesa for quite some time and the latest reports suggest that the Red Devils have already submitted an offer for the Italian international.

According to La Nazione (via Sport Witness), Man United have made an offer of 55 million euros (£49million) for the 22-year-old star but Fiorentina want more and are expecting an even bigger bid.

Transfer: Man Utd have agreed £65million terms to sign star – Report

Back in June, the famous Italian source reported that the Viola forward is on the market and is rated at 70 million euros (£63million). The same valuation was also reported by Corriere Fiorentino last month.

The youngster has already made 150 appearances for Fiorentina and he has played 17 times for the senior international side. So, the Azzurri attacker has got ample experience under his belt.

Naturally, Chiesa is a right winger but in the 2019-20 campaign, manager Lachini mainly deployed him as an out and out striker.

In 33 starts in all competitions, the versatile forward directly contributed in 20 goals (11 goals and 9 assists). In the penultimate league game of the season vs Bologna, he netted a superb hat-trick and then followed it up with two assists in the last Serie A contest against SPAL.

His stats are not better than Jadon Sancho, who scored 20 goals and provided as many assists in all competitions for Dortmund in the last campaign.

Therefore, the England international is much more expensive as well and BvB are demanding a fee of 120 million euros for their prized asset (Süddeutsche Zeitung).

If we fail to lure Sancho, should Solskjaer splash £63million to sign Federico Chiesa?
