More recently, O Jogo (press image provided below) have reported that the Molineux outfit want to sign Palhinha and for that, Bruno Lage wants to complete the sale of Neves.

The Portuguese news source have mentioned that Barcelona are looking to lure the Seleccao midfielder, who would be happy to move to the Nou Camp. However, Man United have outbid Barca to sign him.

It is stated that the 20-time English champions have submitted a much better offer than the Catalan giants that has an attractive payment method for Wolves as well.

The former Porto skipper is a solid defensive midfielder, he can pass the ball from distance as well and score sublime long range goals.

In the last campaign, the Portuguese star, who won the UEFA Nations League in 2019, scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Old Trafford legend, Ferdinand is a massive admirer of Neves and thinks that he is a ‘fantastic’ midfielder (FIVE).

We really need a proper play breaker next season. Matic has been our specialist defensive midfielder, the veteran Serbian mainly warmed the bench in the last two campaigns and will leave this month.

  1. Obviously I mean, yes
Even before any transfer talks had begun
I personally kept an eye on him and was like United, we need exactly someone like this
He will surely be an ideal transfer for us, we await him to unite with his Co-Portuguese teammates this summer as we return to the glory days

  2. Return to glory days? Not a chance

Yves Bissouma was a much better option, financially and of course due to his attributes
