Manchester United need a dynamic midfielder with experience to reinforce things in the center of the park and the name of Adrien Rabiot is once again in the focus.
The Red Devils were keen on luring the French international last year, but he opted extend his stay with Juventus for a year.
Transfer: Report – Man Utd ready to offer £33.8m star to sign £12.7m winger
Last month, reports in Italy indicated that the Old Trafford side are at the forefront to hire the services of the Les Bleus midfielder on a Bosman this summer.
Now, the latest update indicates Man Utd have to agree a deal worth £121,000 a week to finally secure the signing of Rabiot.
As per today’s version of Corriere dello Sport (news image provided below), the 29-year-old midfielder’s mother-agent, Veronique, has requested a salary demand of 7.5 million euros a year.
The Rome based media outlet have mentioned that AC Milan are pushing to lure the former Paris Saint-Germain star and Juventus are intent on keeping him in Turin.
However, the ‘biggest obstacle’ for the Rossoneri and the Bianconeri is the ‘very high salary demands’ i.e. around £121,000 a week.
Juve have offered a three year deal worth 7 million euros a season, on the other hand, Milan can offer a four year deal with a little raise.
The seven time European champions are also looking at other options, such as Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana, in case they fail to sign Rabiot.
For now, Veronique’s ‘procrastination’ could lead to foreign attacks and Man Utd have ‘turned the spotlight’ on signing Rabiot.
The 43-capped is part of France’s Euro 2024 squad but he was an unused substitute in both the warm-up games against Luxembourg and Canada.
Have your say – Should Man Utd meet the salary demands of £121,000 a week to finally land Adrien Rabiot this summer?
