Manchester United need to make a number of signings to solidify the squad for the Ruben Amorim project.

However, without Champions League football on the horizon, they might struggle to convince top talents to join the club.

The Portuguese tactician is looking to do one of the most difficult tasks in world football at the moment – returning Manchester United to their glory days. It is a task no manager has managed to do since Sir Alex Ferguson left more than a decade ago.

Manchester United recently let Dan Ashworth go and are still searching for a new sporting director. Despite this, they continue to be linked with transfers in the market and one position they need to reinforce is the left wing-back.

As per Spanish source, Fichajes, Man Utd along with Real Madrid are interested in signing talented AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez and the Red Devils will have to fork out a fee of around £41.5million (50 million euros) to convince the Italian club to sell him.

That price honestly feels like a bargain for a player of Theo’s quality. One of the best in his position in the world in recent seasons, the Les Bleus star adds so much impetus going forward in attack and coming back in defense and he would be a sensational addition to the Man Utd team.

At this point, it increasingly looks like Luke Shaw’s body has given up on him and it will be a huge surprise if he returns anywhere close to his best level in the future. The Englishman, even if he comes back, is highly unlikely to be able to play as a wing-back.

Theo Hernandez will instantly improve the quality of the Man Utd team and at this price, the only question is whether they will be able to convince him to sign.
