Manchester United’s search for a quality central midfielder is going on for a long time and once again, they are linked with Portuguese international Ruben Neves.

Transfer: Man Utd in pole to secure £21million signing – Contract till 2026 expected
Now, reports indicate that Man Utd are hell-bent on finally signing the Seleccao star before closure of the winter transfer window.
According to an exclusive story covered by The Sun, Rangnick is looking to sign a midfielder and the Old Trafford outfit are determined to sign the former FC Porto star this month.
The famous British source have mentioned that United have been mulling over a potential bid since last summer and they could finally move in with an offer of £35million. However, it is stated that a fee of over £40million would be needed to hire his services in January.
Neves, who was brilliant vs United in the last league game, has proved to be a quality play breaker, who can dictate and control play while sitting deep in front of the back four. He is also a set piece specialist and can strike the ball from distance.
The 26-capped international was a key member of the Portugal squad that won the inaugural UEFA Nations League in 2019. He wants to play Champions League football again and can do so with compatriots like Ronaldo, Fernandes and Dalot if he joins United this month.
