Man United in prime position to secure signing of £68.5million star – Report

Vinicius Casemiro and Militao - Real Madrid

Manchester United have already reached an agreement to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and in my view, they do not need to bring in any other player to improve their attacking midfield.

Still, if reports in the media are anything to go by then Real Madrid have offered the Red Devils a chance to sign Brazilian international Vinicius Jr.

Transfer: Man Utd agree £51.4million salary and announcement is very close – From Spain today

According to The Sunday People (news image provided below), Man Utd are in a prime position to secure the signing of the South American winger from the Los Blancos this summer.

Tom Hopkinson has claimed that the Bernabeu side are looking to raise funds in order to sign French international, Kylian Mbappe, from Paris Saint-Germain. For that, they are willing to sell both Varane and Vinicius to the Old Trafford outfit.

It is stated that the 13-time European Champions want a fee of at least £68.5million from the sale of the Samba star.

Last season, the former Flamengo player regularly featured for Real Madrid under the management of Zidane. In all competitions, he made 49 appearances and directly contributed in 13 goals (6 goals and 7 assists). Most notably, he put in a Man of the Match performance (2 goals) that led to Liverpool’s elimination from the Champions League.

Vinicius can play on either flank but mainly he is a left winger. We already have Marcus Rashford for the LW role, on the other hand, Sancho will likely play on the right wing next season.

As far as the depth is concerned, the likes of James and Greenwood are there to cover for the first choice wingers. Therefore, there is no real need to lure another wide attacking player. What do you think?
