Manchester United forward, Rasmus Hojlund, has netted two goals in the last many Premier League games this season but overall, he has the same stats in 16 appearances in the competition.
Unfortunately, the Danish international has not been able to live up to his price tag after securing the big money move to Old Trafford in the summer.
Transfer – Man Utd ready to agree a deal to sign £60million player
If reports in the media are anything to go by then Man Utd have initiated talks to sign Dutch center forward, Joshua Zirkzee, from Bologna.
According to Florian Plettenberg, the Red Devils have inquired about luring the in form striker but the Serie A side want to hold on to him this month.
Zirkzee’s current deal with the Italian club will expire in the summer of 2026 and it has a release clause of 40 million euros (£34.4m).
In another post on X, the German journalist revealed the deal is at early stages but Man Utd have held first talks to sign the talented forward.
The 22-year-old was part of the Bayern Munich squad that won the UEFA Champions League in 2020 but he made only one appearance in the competition and spent majority of the time on the bench.
Now, he is shining in Italy. In the current season, so far, Zirkzee has started 19 games in all competitions and directly contributed in 12 goals (8 goals and 4 assists).
In your view, should Man Utd splash the cash to sign £34.4m-rated Joshua Zirkzee?
Manchester United have a big midfield problem. They are not press resistant, can’t dribble, can’t connect defence with strikers and Wingers, lose ball in danger areas, don’t know how to help defence.
Kobbie Mainoo – the only true midfielder in the team.
Scott Mactominay – Is not a midfielder.
Mactominay, Bruno Fernandes, Ericsson, Casemiro have been at fault on above mentioned midfield problems.
Second point is consistency. Manchester United have been keeping inconsistent players for long enough.
Martial, Rashford, Anthony, Luke Shaw, Van bissaka, Dalot.
Harry Maguire played badly after joining. Still he was made the captain of the team. He is the most improved player now, but I feel it’s too late.
The players feel they can just be average and still won’t be kicked out of the team.
Most players have seen their market value go down. Forget the coach, the players atleast should better themselves each year.
