Manchester United have had a difficult start to the new season, which in itself could be viewed as being kind.
Despite Erik ten Hag getting the ammunition that he wanted back in the summer, the tactics haven’t translated into results on the pitch.
Transfer – Man Utd can reach pre-contract agreement to sign £180,000-a-week star – Report
The issue for the Red Devils so far has been creating clear-cut chances and on the occasions when the team do, the finishing has been a letdown. So far, they have only managed to secure wins against Fulham, Southampton and Barnsley.
Now, as per Team Talk, Man Utd are keen to secure the signing of talented RB Leipzig striker, Benjamin Sesko. The 21-year-old was heavily linked with a transfer to Arsenal during the summer but the move did not happen.
Sesko has had an impressive start to the season. He has showcased his versatility, playing both as the central striker and as an attacking midfielder.
He has scored two goals and provided two assists from six appearances across all competitions. The 21-year-old is valued at around £83.5m which is an incredible fee to pay for a young striker.
It is also worth keeping in mind that Manchester United just spent a lot of money for signing two young strikers in two summer windows – Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
Benjamin Sesko is an incredible talent who has a huge future in the game, however, it doesn’t make sense for Man Utd to spend the aforementioned money on a position where they already have enough promising talents. What do you think?
