Man Utd are in the lead to hire the services of Joao Neves, as per the latest reports going on in the Portuguese media.
According to a story covered by O Jogo today (news image provided below), the Red Devils are in pole position to lure the Benfica midfielder, who is expected to shake up the transfer market this summer.

The Porto based news source have mentioned that the Eagles would want to hold on to their prized asset for at least another campaign.
It is stated that the 19-year-old has also attracted attention from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Man Utd are ‘leading’ the race and are even ready to move in with a ‘big effort’ to sign Neves.
As per O Jogo, Jim Ratcliffe wants the teenage sensation to become an ‘important element’ of the new team for the next campaign.
The Seleccao star still has more than four years on his current deal with Benfica, who will only allow him to leave if the £102million (120 million euros) release clause is met.
Apart from Neves, Man Utd are also looking at another Benfica star in the form Antonio Silva. The central defender is a ‘top target’.
The 20-time English champions need a long term replacement for five time Champions League winner, Casemiro. The Brazilian is clearly past his best.
In such a situation, should Man Utd splash £102million to sign Joao Neves, who is one of the best young defensive midfielders around?
