Back in March, Jornal de Noticias revealed that Benfica will only sell their star center forward if the release clause of £102million (120 million euros) in his contract is activated.

However, today, Correio da Manha (via SW) have reported that Man Utd lead to sign Ramos and the Eagles are now prepared to cash in for an amount of £68million (80 million euros).

The renowned source have mentioned that PSG, who have paid £51million for Ugarte, can return to Portugal to take the Seleccao striker.

The French champions have already let Messi leave and Neymar’s future in Paris is up in the air, so they are looking to improve the attack.

In such a scenario, Man Utd must act fast as Erik ten Hag badly needs a top striker to start the next campaign.

CdM claim Roger Schmidt demands to have his squad complete and closed before 5th July and Benfica are immediately moving to sign a striker to replace Goncalo Ramos.

The report indicates that New York City’s Taty Castelhanos is on the radar of the Liga Nos champions.

Ramos, who netted a hat-trick against Switzerland at the FIFA World Cup, scored 27 goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions for the Primeira Liga side last season.
