As per the latest reports going on in the media, the Red Devils maintain their interest in hiring the services of the 19-year-old, who has been in sensational goal-scoring form this season.

According to Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Witness), Man Utd love Haaland and want to finally secure his signing. However, the Old Trafford club face competition from Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The youngster netted 16 goals in just 11 Austrian Bundesliga starts and 8 goals in just 5 Champions League starts for Salzburg before deciding to join Dortmund in January.

Since completing the move to BvB, the former Molde striker has been highly impressive under the management of Lucien Favre.

So far, in 9 starts in all competitions, Haaland has managed to score no fewer than 13 times and has also provided 3 assists for the German Bundesliga side.

After letting the likes of Lukaku and Sanchez leave, United have not adequately strengthened their attack, especially the strike-force. Odion Ighalo was signed (on loan) on deadline day in the winter window but the Nigerian is a veteran, who is not a long term solution.

As compared to last season, we have scored fewer goals thus far and therefore, it is evident that a top natural striker must be signed.

In your view, should Man Utd splash the cash to finally sign Erling Haaland?
