Man Utd made under £84.6million bid for signing – Decision made

Old Trafford

Manchester United are linked with Leny Yoro and even made a big offer to sign him from Lille, as per the latest reports coming from Spain.

According to a story published by Marca today, the French center back has been on the radar of top clubs for months.

The news source have mentioned that initially, the Les Dogues asked for a mammoth fee of more than £84.6million (100 million euros) for their prized asset.

At that moment, the Los Blancos opted to take a ‘step aside’ but remained in touch with the 18-year-old.

The Whites know there are ‘clubs willing to give more money, both to the player and to Lille’. However, the defender’s will is to join the Spanish champions.

When Paris Saint-Germain made their approach, the current president of Lille, Olivier Letang, did not facilitate the negotiations because he had bad relations with the Qatari leaders while working for PSG as the Director of Football.

After PSG, Man Utd and Liverpool appeared on the scene and offered ‘less money’ than the initially demanded fee of £84.6million for Yoro.

Leny’s ‘decision’ is clear. He wants Real Madrid and all those who have approached his surroundings know his choice.

Marca claim Lille needs to swiftly realize that Yoro is willing to stay for another season in order to move to the Bernabeu on a Bosman.

When the Decathlon Arena outfit will ‘understand’ the decision, they will eventually bring the asking price even below 60 million euros, which is currently being quoted.

It will be fair to say that Man Utd should put their efforts elsewhere instead of wasting time on Yoro who clearly has his heart set on moving to Madrid.
