The Manchester United management have agreed on signing Michael Olise from Crystal Palace, as per Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist has recently revealed that the Old Trafford bosses have completely approved the transfer of the French attacker, but may face serious competition.

Romano told The United Stand:

“Michael Olise is 100 percent approved internally, across the new footballing department (at Man Utd). There will be competition for him this summer, which may not make any deal for him a quick one.”

The 22-year-old playmaker was heavily linked with a move away from Crystal Palace last year, but in the end, he signed a contract worth £100,000 a week (The Mail).

Man Utd are reportedly leading the race for Olise but they face competition from the likes of Chelsea, and particularly, Liverpool.

The Anfield club can offer CL football to the Eagles superstar, who regularly scored and created goals in the recently concluded campaign.

He made 19 appearances (14 starts) in the Premier League and directly contributed in 16 goals (10 goals and 6 assists).

Earlier this month, Olise netted a brace against Man Utd at Selhurst Park in a contest that Crystal Palace won 4-0.

At Old Trafford, the management may offload wingers like Greenwood and Sancho, who are currently on loan.

Moreover, they must take a loss and sell Antony, who featured 29 times in the Premier League this term, and found the net only once.

Have your say – Should Man Utd sign Olise to improve the attack in the summer?
