Manchester United’s record signing Paul Pogba is constantly linked with a move away from Old Trafford and if the French international leaves, then he should be replaced with a quality player.
One such player heavily linked with the Red Devils is Serbian international Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
According to an exclusive report covered by Foot Mercato, Man Utd are moving with high speed to sign the Lazio star in the summer. It is stated that from his sale, club president Claudio Lotito wants more than 110 million euros that the PL giants offered last year.
The renowned French source have claimed that the Old Trafford club have already initiated discussions with the midfielder’s representatives but face competition from top European clubs like Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
Milinkovic-Savic’s current contract with the Serie A side will expire in 2024 and as per a report covered by Italian outlet Ill Messggero last month, he is valued at 120 million euros (£105million).
In the current campaign, the 25-year-old has been brilliant for Lazio, who are currently second in the league table after 26 league games, just a point behind reigning champions Juventus.
The Spain born midfielder has pulled the strings in the center of the park to help his team dominate the midfield battles and in 24 Serie A starts under Simone Inzaghi, he has so far directly contributed in 9 goals (4 goals and 5 assists) this term.
Pogba must be sold. Yes, he is a world class talent but the Les Bleus star has been highly inconsistent since re-joining us back in 2016. Moreover, this season, he has spent most of his time out injured and in his absence, Fred and McTominay have stepped up big time.
Fred joined us in the summer of 2018 and since then, Solskjaer has not strengthened the midfield department and allowed the likes of Fellaini and Herrera to leave. Now, the Norwegian boss must splash the cash and bring reinforcements. Should he move in to with an offer worth £105million to lure Sergej Milinkovic-Savic?
