The German champions are even willing to offer more than 100 million euros to lure the Uruguayan international from the Nou Camp outfit.
On the other hand, Man Utd have offered to double his current wages to take him to Old Trafford.
Last year, Araujo signed a new deal with the Blaugrana and he earns around £124,000 a week. So, Man Utd have offered him terms around £248,000 a week to secure his signature.
However, the famous Catalan news outlet have mentioned that the 24-year-old center back “doesn’t care about money’ instead, he is tempted by the sporting project on offer at Bayern.
As per 90min, the South American star is unsure of his future at Barca amid interest from top clubs as even Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle and Arsenal are interested in his services.
Araujo has won every major prize in Spanish football with Barcelona. Last season, in the La Liga winning campaign, he started 21 games and helped Xavi’s team keep no fewer than 16 clean sheets.
Barca only let in 20 goals in the entire league season last term. On the other hand, Man Utd have already conceded 21 goals in just 16 Premier League fixtures so far this season.
Ten Hag badly needs a top quality defender to reinforce the squad. Do you think Man Utd have the sporting project to attract a player like Ronald Araujo?
