Manchester United offer £70million + Pogba in deal for Real Madrid favourite

According to Diario Gol, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has offered £70m and Paul Pogba to Real Madrid to sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer. The 33-year-old left United for Los Blancos in 2009 and is one player the Red Devils have been desperate to bring back to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo has gone on to score and create 582 goals in 437 games for Real since his 2009-move, winning three Champions League trophies, two La Liga titles and two Copa Dey Rey trophies. The Portuguese international has been in outstanding form this season too, contributing 52 goals in 44 games in all competitions, and has a Champions League final to come on Saturday.

Mourinho did say earlier in the season that he wouldn’t be strengthening his attack in the transfer market as he felt Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez were sufficient enough. However, Ronaldo would be a different story.  The world-class forward might not be open to leaving Real, even for his former club, as his deal runs until 2021.

Ronaldo has shown no genuine desire to exit the Santiago Bernabeu, and his asking price and wage demands might be too much for United to meet. Paul Pogba could certainly be on his way out of Manchester, after a fallout with Mourinho and having nearly joined Real in 2016, but it may not be as part of a deal for Ronaldo.

  1. Who wrote that rubbish? United need to keep Pogba and use him in a system where he thrives something Mourinho cannot do, I know, get rid of Mourinho. Who agrees?

  2. i agree jose play style is not 4 man utd,te owners must take seriously of tis coaching problems.

  3. mourinho knows what he is doing, pogba is not good enough.man Utd have hired many coaches that play fine football before Jose, what did they win?nothing, even second place they couldn’t attend, arsenal, leverpool and Tottenham that play fine football, what did they win? nothing.man City that play fine football, what did they win last season?nothing.you people should leave mourinho alone,he is the master of the game.

  4. Derek Hattersley, totally in agreement with you. The current united team isn’t so bad, what we’re missing is creativity in coaching & team management. Mourinho is too conservative, he has failed to evolve from his old methods. Everything changes, football too.

  5. Agree Mourinho is a good coach just the right man for United definitely would keep Pogba he just needs a coach who plays him in the right system with good players around him he will flourish.

  6. Emeka Iwundu, Totally agree with you. Mou knows his team more than anyone no matter how highly we as fans and spectators rate them. He sees their commitment, body language, attitude et al.There was a time when we all felt Pogba was indispensable but not anymore. The biggest disservice our Fans, former Players, legends and even pundits are making is to compare Ferguson to Mourinho. Fergie made his mistakes early learnt from them and became a colossus but his era is gone. Please EVERYONE back off Mourinhos case and let him learn from his own mistakes and turn our 2nd position to 1st.
