Now, they are set to lure yet another teenager, who has also been a wanted player in the summer transfer market.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chido Obi-Martin has accepted an offer to join Man Utd after leaving Arsenal. He even rejected much more lucrative proposals from German clubs.

The renowned Italian journalist revealed:

“Chido Obi-Martin to Man United, here we go! Talented striker leaves Arsenal and he’s just accepted Man Utd proposal.”

“Pathway key for Chido who’s turned down higher bids from Germany to sign for Man United. Project convinced 2007 born top talent to accept (Man Utd move)”

Last season, the 16-year-old center forward only started 16 games in the U-18 Premier League for Arsenal and directly contributed in 35 goals (32 goals and 3 assists).

Back in March this year, the Danish starlet scored four goals each against the U-18 teams of Palace and Fulham.

In April, he netted 5 goals away from home against West Ham United and netted 7 times in the 9-0 victory over Norwich City.

In the final game of the season, the youngster scored a hat-trick against Chelsea. For the U-17 national side, thus far, Chido has scored 11 goals in 15 starts.

So, it is a massive blow for the Gunners, who basically lack a clinical finisher up front, to lose a talented forward like Chido Obi-Martin to Man Utd, who are set to complete a massive coup.
