The Catalan media outlet have mentioned that Barca’s plan A to improve the No.6 position at the club is the Toffees star.
However, due to weak economic conditions, they would not be able to compete with rich clubs that are looking to snap up the midfielder.
MD claim Man Utd have presented an initial offer worth 55 million euros to the Merseysiders and will also pay 5 million euros in objectives to sign Amadou Onana.
Currently, the 22-year-old play breaker takes home a salary of £100,000 a week and his contract at Goodison Park will expire in 2027.
As per the Spanish source, Man Utd have even offered Onana a considerable pay rise, so they are ready to agree terms worth over £100,000 a week to get the signing done.
The Belgian star scored two goals in the Premier League for Everton last term and also helped them keep 8 clean sheets in 23 starts.
At the European Championships, so far, he has started both the group games for the Red Devils and was impressive in the 2-0 victory against Romania at the weekend.
Man Utd must lure a quality DM to replace Casemiro, someone who can serve the club in the years to come, and Amadou Onana would be a top signing. What do you think?
