Andre Silva Portugal

If reports in the media are anything to go by then Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign an in-form striker in the form of Andre Silva.

Earlier this month, Sky Germany revealed that the Red Devils need a new CF and they have consistently scouted the Portuguese international, who plays for Frankfurt.

More recently, The Sun have exclusively revealed that Man Utd have been offered the chance to agree a £30million deal to sign Silva from the Bundesliga side.

The renowned British news source have mentioned that the move will be completed if veteran Uruguayan, Edinson Cavani, ends up leaving Old Trafford after this campaign.

Cavani joined the club last summer by agreeing a one year deal worth £200,000-a-week (The Sun) that can be extended for a further year if needed.

The South American striker is a proven quality goal-scorer, who has scored 6 goals in 8 Premier League starts for Man Utd this term. The dilemma is that he will turn 35 next year and we need a long term solution.

Manchester United have not been able to adequately strengthen their strike-force for quite some time and Solskjaer should lure a top center forward in the summer.

So far, Andre Silva, 25, has scored 19 goals and provided 5 assists in just 22 starts for the German club in the current campaign. For the Seleccao, so far in 37 caps, the ex AC Milan man has directly contributed in 20 goals.

In your opinion, is he good enough to replace Cavani at Old Trafford? Should Man Utd secure his signing for £30million?
