Transfer: Man Utd’s £60million bid will be accepted – Report
According to an exclusive story covered by TEAMTalk, Man Utd are Liverpool scouts have been impressed by Normand’s performances as they look to strengthen their respective backlines.
The 26-year-old star’s current contract with Sociedad will expire in 2026 and it has a release clause of £43.6million (50 million euros).
Last season, he started 31 games in the Spanish La Liga and helped the Txuri-Urdin earn Champions League qualification by keeping 15 clean sheets.
After an impressive league campaign, he was selected for the national side and made his debut in the UEFA Nations League in June.
Robin Le Normand featured in both the semi and the final as the La Furia Roja went on to lift the trophy. Now, he is a regular starter for the national side and has made six appearances thus far.
In his debut Champions League campaign this term, so far, the defender has been impressive under Imanol Alguacil and two days back, he helped Sociedad beat Benfica 1-0.
Erik ten Hag has serious concerns at the back mainly due to persistent injury concerns, on the other hand, Liverpool have not reinforced their defense for some time and focused only on improving the midfield in the summer.
