Man Utd prepare £79.3million fee after agreeing contract for signing – Report

United Old Trafford

Manchester United put in a fantastic performance last night but they have to improve the depth of the squad to consistently challenge the best teams.

Unfortunately, deals have been hard to complete for one or the other reason.

Transfer: Contract close – Man Utd will officially bid after Wednesday to sign £42.2million star

We know that the Red Devils agreed a fee with Barcelona to hire the services of Frenkie de Jong, however, the Dutchman has so far opted to stay at the Nou Camp.

On the other hand, United even agreed a fee with Juventus for Adrien Rabiot but in the end, they failed to agree personal terms with the French international and the deal collapsed.

Now, according to O Globo, Man Utd have agreed a contract with Antony to bring him to Old Trafford. This time, they are finding it hard to agree a fee with Ajax.

The Brazilian news source claim the Dutch champions rejected an offer worth 80 million euros for the South American winger but United are not giving up.

It is reported that Ten Hag’s team are preparing a fresh offer of 94 million euros (£79.3million) to push the Eredivisie giants to sell Antony.

Despite starting the season in top form, the 22-year-old opted to not feature in the last league game. Manager, Alfred Schreuder, claimed:

“Antony is not on the team. I spoke to him, and he told me he didn’t feel 100% ready to play. I only want players on the team who are 100% focused on Ajax. Most importantly, I had a good conversation with him and I was very clear,”

It will be fair to say that the young attacker is already thinking about reuniting with Ten Hag. The question is, can Man Utd agree a fee with Ajax to get the deal done?
