Manchester United have been linked with England international, Marc Guehi, for quite some time and the latest reports indicate he is the priority target for the winter transfer window.
According to an exclusive story published by Football Insider, Man Utd are preparing a move to sign Guehi in winter.
Transfer: Man Utd will pay £60.7million fee to sign wanted player in January – Report
The news source have mentioned that going into January, the Crystal Palace central defender is the No.1 target at Old Trafford.
Last month, the media outlet revealed it would take a fee worth £60million to secure his signature. Former Aston Villa forward, Agbonlahor, heavily praised the 23-year-old and stated:
“Guehi is going to be expensive. Palace won’t want to break up that partnership with him and Andersen. “But I like him. He’s starting for England, he’s getting caps. He’s strong, quick, good on the ball.“
The Ivorian born star has so far made twelve appearances in the Premier League for the Eagles this season and helped the team keep five clean sheets.
During the last international break, he featured for full 90 minutes in both the European qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia.
Guehi has already earned nine caps and we can expect him to be part of Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad next summer.
Man Utd have already conceded 16 goals in the Premier League this season and after three relatively easy fixtures, they will face tough tests against Newcastle United and Chelsea next.
Not to forget, the Red Devils will collide against Galatasaray tomorrow and are at the bottom of their Champions League group after four fixtures.
Hence, Erik ten Hag must splash the cash to reinforce the squad in winter. In your view, should Man Utd make a £60million move to sign Marc Guehi?
