The Bruno Fernandes transfer saga surrounding Manchester United is taking twists in a very short span of time.

Earlier in the day, we covered a report (via The Sun) taking the potential fee of the deal into consideration. Now, the personal terms of the contract are in the lime light.

Transfer: Man Utd pushing hard to sign star with £425million clause – Face competition

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport’s journalist, Nicolo Schira, the Red Devils have agreed terms with the Portuguese attacker and the move could be finalized soon.

However, it must be remembered that the renowned Italian journalist made a very similar sort of claim (Twitter) in the summer transfer window and it did not turn out to be true. So, it is better for Man United fans to focus more on the stories coming from the player’s home country i.e. Portugal.

According to A Bola, Sporting CP want 70 million euros for their captain and the Old Trafford club have not met the price as yet.

As far as the terms are concerned, the well-known Portuguese outlet have claimed that Man Utd are prepared to agree a five year contract that will make the player earn 4 million euros annually (total worth 20 million euros – £17million).

So, if Bruno Fernandes does end up agreeing the above mentioned terms with the Red Devils, then he will be earning around £65,000-a-week, which is a very low salary as compared to Man Utd’s star players (The Sun).

According to another Portuguese source in the form of Correio de Manha, the negotiations between the Lions and United have made significant progress and the transfer could be secured before Sporting’s crucial contest against Benfica.

  1. Why is united taking so long to make such a straight forward deal. We need this guy desperately.

  2. What is really true and damning is ManU needs a real playmaker. Currently we are lacking real creativity in midfield. Ole should not be relying on Pogba anymore. Pogba’s mind has turned. Enough dilly dallying on signing an attacking midfielder. A new midfielder should come aboard, this month!

  3. I don’t understand what is the problem of manutd. Delay is dangerous maybe they are waiting for city or Tottenham to rival them before signing Bruno. Woodward is a problem

  4. Where do man United fail to accomplish the mission of signing Bruno? It’s clear that man United lack the creative midfield who can link the team together. C’mon man u make it happen
