Manchester United have not won the Premier League title since 2013 and reports suggest that they are looking to sign a serial title winner in the form of Kingsley Coman.
The French international has won 10 league titles in the last 10 years, 6 in the last 6 with German champions Bayern Munich. Not to forget, he scored the winning goal of the UEFA Champions League last season.
Transfer: Man United make contact to secure signing of £51.7million playmaker – Report
According to a report covered by Sport Bild (via Sport Witness), Man Utd are prepared to agree terms worth 12 million euros i.e. £199,000-a-week to sign the Les Bleus star, who has been selected by Deschamps in the Euro 2020 squad.
The German outlet have reported that at the moment, the former Juventus winger is taking home a gross salary of 12 million euros a year and that figure falls after taxes and deductions.
It is claimed that Man Utd are offering Coman a deal that will make him earn a net income of 12 million euros (£199,000-a-week) to tempt him to move to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils do need to improve their offense by signing a proven quality winger and a decorated star like Coman would be a top signing.
The 24-year-old attacker can effectively play on either flank and this season, so far, he has directly contributed in 20 goals in 38 appearances for the Bavarians (Transfermarkt).
The 29-capped international will be out of contract in 2023. In your view, should Man Utd move to get his signing done?
No, Coman has never put up good stats in a season. It’d be an awful signing and typical of Woodward and Judge. I don’t care if he scored a goal in a champions league final. Quit messing around and bring in Sancho, a top CDM, and a top CB.
Manchester united should have faith in Greenwood and forget big names
