Man Utd prepared to agree £51.5m asking fee, offer will be accepted – Report

Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Manchester United are still searching for a top striker and once again, the name of Ramus Hojlund is in the focus.

Last month, Corriere della Sera revealed Atalanta rejected an offer worth 35 million euros from Man Utd and look to get around 60 million euros (£51.5m) for their prized asset.

Now, as per Spanish source, Fichajes, Man Utd are prepared to finally agree the asking fee of £51.5m to sign the player from the Serie A club.

It is reported that the above mentioned offer will be accepted immediately by Atalanta and Hojlund would move to Old Trafford on Erik ten Hag’s request.

The 20-year-old started 20 games in the Serie A and found the net 9 times in the last campaign.

For the senior international side, so far he has started four games for Denmark and scored six goals.

The question is, is Hojlund good enough to replace Ronaldo immediately? May be in future but definitely not now.

He did put in impressive performances on and off but the youngster is not a finished product and in all fairness, Man Utd urgently need a proven quality finisher to improve the strike-force.

Not even a single player at Old Trafford has managed to score more than twenty goals in the Premier League since RvP did it a decade ago.

One of the main reasons we have not been able to challenge for the PL title is the absence of a prolific No.9.

In your view, should Man Utd splash £51.5m to sign Rasmus Hojlund?
