Manchester United are looking to sign a top central defender in the winter transfer window and in recent weeks, they have been linked with Brazilian international and Porto starlet Eder Militao.
According to latest reports going on in the media (Don Balon), the Red Devils are prepared to blow rivals, Real Madrid, out of the water to sign the South American defender.
The Spanish source (Don Balon) have reported that the European Champions are interested in signing Militao but they are not willing to pay over €25million to hire his services. On the other hand, United can reach up to €40million to get his signing done.

Militao’s current deal with the Primeira Liga champions will expire in 2023, it has a release clause €50million (£45million) and he is not prepared to renew his contract (Correio da Manha).
The former Sao Pualo center half is just 20 and already he has impressed for Porto in the league and also in Europe’s elite competition, UEFA Champions League.
The Portuguese giants topped their CL group, only conceded six goals and Militao was rock solid at the back.
In the Primeira Liga, he has so far started 11 games and helped the team keep 7 clean sheets.
Manchester United managed to keep their first clean sheet under interim boss Solskjaer vs Newcastle United last night. However, this is only the third time that United have not conceded in a PL fixture this season.
Overall, the Old Trafford club have already let in 32 goals in 21 Premier League games and they need to tighten things up at the back by signing a top quality defender. Beating the Los Blancos to the signature of Militao would be a massive coup for Man United.
