Man Utd prepared to offer huge terms to sign £50million star – Face competition

Erling Haaland RB Salzburg

Manchester United sold Romelu Lukaku, who was the top scorer at Old Trafford in the last two campaigns, in the summer transfer window and did not even replace him.

Now, Solskjaer is using Martial, who is mainly a winger, in the center forward position. Therefore, the Red Devils must sign an out and out striker in the winter transfer window.

Norwegian forward Erling Haaland’s name has been in the focus for quite some time and the latest reports suggest that Man Utd are prepared to offer him huge terms to secure his signature.

Transfer: Man Utd to offer cash to finally sign star with £126million clause – Report

According to The Guardian, the 19-year-old forward has held talks with Dortmund and Leipzig, who want to hire his services in the January transfer window. Further, the RB Salzburg star will hold talks with Man Utd and Juventus, who are prepared to offer a lucrative five year deal to lure him.

The renowned British outlet have mentioned that the teenage sensation has got a release clause of 25 million euros in his contract but the Austrian club value him at around 60 million euros (£50million) and a bidding war would suit them. It is also stated that whoever signs the youngster would have to pay a huge commission to super agent Mino Raiola.

The former Molde goal-scorer has been in sensational form this season. In all competitions, so far, he has netted 28 goals in 22 appearances for Salzburg (also provided 7 assists). Not to forget, he has already netted 5 hat-tricks.

In the Champions League group stage, he found the net 8 times in just 4 starts but Salzburg were eliminated from the competition after losing to reigning champions Liverpool on Tuesday night.

Haaland can still play CL football this season if he opts to move to a club who have qualified for the KO stages of the tournament. Dortmund, Leipzig and Juventus are still alive in the competition. On the other hand, United are playing in the Europa League.

Moreover, the German clubs are challenging for the Bundesliga title and the Italian giants are a point behind Inter in the Serie A. However, Man Utd are already out of the PL title race, they are 22 points behind PL leaders and arch rivals Liverpool.

So, it will be fair to say that Old Trafford is not the most attractive destination at the moment. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming weeks.
