Back in 2021, the Old Trafford outfit signed Diallo from Atalanta but since then, he has only made 10 senior appearances for the club and currently takes home a salary of £28,000 a week.
As per Football Insider, Man Utd are prepared to pay half i.e. £14,000 a week wages and want the Black Cats to pay the other half to complete the transfer of the African playmaker.
Last season, the 21-year-old winger started 27 games in the Championship on loan for Sunderland and directly contributed in 16 goals.
However, this season, Diallo has mainly spent time on the injury table and since returning, he has only made a single appearance i.e. in the 2-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest last month.
In another story published by Football Insider yesterday, the youngster has personally asked the 20-time English champions to allow him to move to Tyneside on loan.
Having featured for just thirty six minutes in the current campaign, Diallo needs to leave to play regular first team football. In your view should Ten Hag grant the player’s wish and send him to Sunderland?
