El Pais – Man Utd prepared to pay £59million to agree fee for signing

Manchester United are heavily linked with Real Madrid’s Casemiro as per reports going on in the Spanish media today.

Earlier in the day, we covered a story (via AS) claiming that the Red Devils have offered a lucrative five year contract to sign the 30-year-old from the Los Blancos.

Now, as per El Pais (news image provided below), after offering a higher salary to Casemiro, Man Utd are prepared to pay 70 million euros (£59million) to agree a fee with the European Champions.

The veteran play breaker faces the “last great temptation of his life”. It is an attractive (financial) opportunity to join the club that Cristiano Ronaldo is trying to run away from as if the place were “on fire”.

The former Porto star has won every major title multiple times since moving to the Bernabeu and therefore, he could accept a move purely on the basis of money.

El Pais state United are ready to double the wages that Casemiro is currently earning with the La Liga champions.

The Old Trafford outfit spent weeks trying to hire the services of Frenkie de Jong but the Dutchman has consistently insisted on not leaving Barcelona.

On the other hand, Man Utd’s pursuit of Adrien Rabiot ended when his mother-agent, Veronique, demanded exorbitant wages for his son-client.

Keeping in view the urgencies, the 20-time English champions have moved for Casemiro. The 63-capped Brazilian only featured for 7 minutes in the opening league fixture against Almeria as Ancelotti preferred big money summer signing, Aurelien Tchouameni, in his position.
