Manchester United need major reinforcements in the January transfer window to turn the season around.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then German international Kai Havertz is consistently linked with a move to the Red Devils.

Transfer: Man Utd willing to splash cash to sign £35million playmaker – Report

Last month, Mirror Sport exclusively revealed that Woodward has given the green light for Man Utd to sign the Bayer Leverkusen attacker, who is valued at £85million, in January.

However, more recently, The Daily Star have come up with an exclusive story and claimed that the Old Trafford club’s executive vice chairman will wait till next summer to make his move but he is confident of securing a deal worth £80million to lure the Kaiser.

It is mentioned that the PL club will offer a deal that the Bundesliga side will be unable to refuse. Furthermore, Man Utd are prepared to triple Havertz’s salary in order to tempt him to move to Old Trafford (The Daily Star).

The 20-year-old starlet is comfortable in possession and can maneuver the ball effectively with both feet. Moreover, he has got the ability to strike the ball from long distances.

In the 2018-19 campaign, Havertz, who mainly plays in the central attacking midfield position, scored 17 goals in the German league and he was named runner-up to Borussia Dortmund skipper,Marco Reus, for the German Footballer of the Year prize.

As far as this season is concerned. So, far in 14 appearances in all competitions, he has only netted 3 goals and provided just a single assist. The youngster has already played 7 times for the senior international side under Joachim Low.

In my view, we are already in turmoil and Solskjaer should not wait for the summer to reinforce the squad. We need quality signings as soon as possible and therefore, Woodward must move to lure Kai Havertz in the winter transfer window.

  1. We may face serious competition from others, especially Bayern Munich, in the summer. So i think January move will be perfect. That’s what chelsea did to secure Pulisic.
