Manchester United suffered their first loss of the Ruben Amorim era with the Red Devils going 2-0 down to Arsenal at the Emirates last night.
Although the game was even in open play, the Gunners prevailed over them due to their dominance in set pieces.

From corners, Arsenal looked unstoppable. United managed to handle the barrage in the first half but in the second half, things took a turn for the worse, with the Red Devils looking like they would concede during each set piece.
Amorim will know that his project is not an overnight change and that he will have to be patient. Meanwhile, he will also have to look in the market to try and find profiles who could suit his system well and contribute to the revival.
As per Team Talk, Man Utd are pressing after Ruben Amorim has approved the signature of Bayern Munich superstar Alphonso Davies. The Canadian is in the last year of his contract with the German club and yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.
The £132,000 a week star has established himself as one of the best left-backs in Europe and would perfectly suit the left wing-back role in Amorim’s setup.
Man Utd currently lack depth in this position with Luke Shaw injured and Tyrell Malacia just returning, setting the stage for Alphonso Davies.
Even if Luke Shaw was to return and remain injury-free, his body might not be in shape to take to the demands of playing as a left-wing-back. Thus, in all likelihood, his future at the club might be in the centre-back position.
Davies might still end up renewing his contract with Bayern Munich but if he doesn’t, it would be an incredible coup for Man Utd if they end up signing him. Let’s wait and see how things play out going forward.
