Manchester United continue to be linked with Ousmane Dembele, who can leave Barcelona for free in the summer next year.

A week back, Mundo Deportivo reported that the French international’s agent is delaying the renewal of his client, who has an offer on the table from the Red Devils.

Transfer: Man Utd ready to agree £15.6million a year terms with OT star – Report

Today, Sport have covered a story and stated that Man Utd are pressing to seal the signing of the former Borussia Dortmund star. It stated that the Old Trafford outfit’s economic potential is greater than their rivals and they are in a position to present him with a bumper contract.

The Spanish news source have mentioned that the 20-time English champions were very close to capturing the winger on loan last year. The player reached an agreement with United but Barca blocked the deal as they wanted him to sign an extension first.

Since then, it is claimed that Man Utd have consistently maintained contacts and could finally end up signing Dembele.

Last season, the World Champion directly contributed in 16 goals in 44 appearances for the Catalan giants but this term, due to injury, he has not been able to feature for the Spanish side as yet.

The 24-year-old, who earns around £196,000 a week (Marca), has spent a lot of time on the treatment table since leaving BvB and in all fairness, Man Utd really do not need him.

We have the likes of Sancho, Rashford, Martial, Greenwood and even Lingard and Mata who can play in the wide attacking positions. Do you think Ole should lure Ousmane Dembele?
