Not for the first time, Manchester United are linked with Jack Grealish and the latest reports indicate that the Red Devils seem to be in a hurry and are pushing to secure his transfer.
According to an exclusive story covered by MEN, the Old Trafford club are looking to execute deals for targets this month and have stepped up interest to sign the 24-year-old attacker early in the summer transfer window.
The renowned British source have revealed that even after signing a top attacking midfielder in the form of Bruno Fernandes, Man Utd still want attacking midfielders like Grealish and Maddison.
MEN have further mentioned that Aston Villa will let their skipper go if they get a decent offer. As far as the value is concerned, the Birmingham based club have not confirmed whether the English player has a release clause of £45million in his contract.
Earlier in the month, The Sun covered an exclusive story and claimed that the versatile star, who can play in multiple offensive positions, is valued at £70million. On the other hand, Goal.com reported that Grealish is ready to join Man Utd in the summer.
So, it will be fair to say that if reports in the media are anything to go by then this transfer saga is heading in the right direction for the 20-time English champions.
For now, the playmaker is focused on helping Villa stay in the Premier League. They are currently a single point above the relegation zone. This term, he has netted 7 goals and provided 6 assists in 25 league appearances.
Grealish is naturally a central attacking midfielder and he mainly played in the No. 10 role last season but in the current campaign, he has mostly played on the left flank.
Man Utd’s first choice CAM is Bruno Fernandes, who is already proving to be a brilliant signing for Solskjaer. So, if the Aston Villa star does end up moving to Old Trafford then it will not be surprising to see him play on the left wing. Back in December, he did feature as a left winger against us and scored a sublime goal.
In your opinion, should Man Utd sign Jack Grealish or James Maddison?
