Report – Man United ready to agree £65million worth deals to secure exits before deadline

Rice and Sancho for England

Manchester United have already secured four key signings to reinforce the first team in the summer transfer window and now, they want to sell some players to balance the books.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then Man Utd are ready to agree deals worth £65million to secure the exits of Jadon Sancho and Scott Mctominay before the transfer deadline ends next week.

As per today’s edition of iNews Weekend, Juventus are in pole position to hire the services of the England international from the Red Devils.

The Old Lady are closing in to offload Italian winger, Federico Chiesa, and are prepared to replace him with Sancho.

iNews claim the Bianconeri are looking at a loan option, whereas, Man Utd’s preference is to sell Sancho for a fee of £40million, or loan him with an obligation to make the move permanent for the mentioned figure.

On the other hand, 2022-23 Italian champions, Napoli, are the ones serious about signing Scott McTominay. The Naples side are pressing hard to secure his signature before the closure of the summer transfer window.

iNews claim Man Utd expect to receive an amount of £25million from the sale of the long serving Old Trafford midfielder.

Sancho barely featured in the last campaign under Erik ten Hag and even though their broken relationship has been repaired, there seems to be no place for the Three Lions winger in the squad.

The Dutch manager prefers the likes of Garnacho and Rashford on the flanks and even Antony and Mount are ahead of the former Dortmund player in the pecking order.

Mainoo and Casemiro are the preferred midfield starters for Man Utd and the potential arrival of Ugarte will push McTominay further down the pecking order. Hence, he must leave to play regular first team football.

Have your say – Should Man Utd agree deals worth £65million to sell Sancho and McTominay before deadline?

  1. Why selling good players in Old Trafford, when we have players who contributing nothing in the squad are there?
Sancho and McTominay are good players that should be allowed to remain in Man Utd. We have Mason Mount, Eriksen, Casemiro, Maguire, Lindelof etc, who should be sold instead of selling those who could add value to the team.
