Manchester United need three points tonight to move to third place in the Premier League table and further improve their CL qualification chances.

As per reports going on in the media, the Red Devils are serious about signing Marcus Thuram from Borussia Monchengladbach.

Transfer: Man Utd offer expected before deadline to sign £255,000 a week star – Report

According to La Repubblica, Man Utd have overtaken Inter Milan to sign the French international from the German club.

The Italian news source have mentioned that the Serie A giants have been in touch with the representatives of the player and offered a four year deal worth 20 million euros (£17.6million), 5 million euros per year.

The dilemma for the Nerazzurri is that Man Utd are ready to agree a contract over £17.6million to lure the 25-year-old in the January transfer window.

Thuram will be out of contract in 6 months and as per La Repubblica, the center forward could be bought for a fee of just 15 million euros this month.

The Les Bleus striker has been one of the star players in the Bundesliga this term. So far, he has netted 10 goals in the league, two fewer than leading goalscorer and compatriot, Christopher Nkunku.

The former Sochaux star is a pacy player, who can effectively play in the wide attacking positions as well. However, United have ample quality and depth on the flanks.

So, if Thuram moves to Old Trafford, he should start as the lone center forward up front. With Ronaldo gone, and Martial out of form, Man Utd must act fast to sign a center forward.

In your view, should the Red Devils agree a contract worth £17.6million (£85,000-a-week) to sign Marcus Thuram?
