With the transfer window now officially open, Man Utd in the next few weeks could be heavily involved in signing new talents to reinforce the squad at Ruben Amorim’s disposal.
There is a lot of deadwood that the club would ideally want to clear out but it hasn’t panned out that way, at least until now.

Sales are needed in the coming couple of months but Man Utd also need to keep reinforcing the squad before their transfer targets are snapped up by other clubs. One position that the Red Devils definitely need a new option is the number nine role with Rasmus Hojlund struggling to impress in his couple of seasons at the club.
Of the many players that Man Utd are interested in for that position, Fiorentina star Moise Kean is one of the preferred options.
As per Corriere dello Sport, the Red Devils are set to launch a move to sign the talented Italian striker who has performed exceedingly well for the Serie A club over the past season.
As per another report from the same source, Man Utd would guarantee a ‘top salary’ to sign Kean this summer as the new striker.
The player is said to have a release clause worth around £44.6million that will be valid for the first couple of weeks in July.
Should Man Utd desire to sign him this summer, they will have to make a concrete move in the coming days. An agreement with the player doesn’t seem to be an issue, especially if the club is willing to offer him a top salary and it could come down to if they can trigger his release clause.
A gamble?
It is important to note that Kean is no stranger to the Premier League, having already played in the league for Everton, with middling success. Back then, the Italian was a very raw talent and he is much more mature now and could be a good signing for Man Utd.
That said, there is no denying that this signing is still very much a gamble. Kean is coming off a good season at Fiorentina but with all due respect, the pressure of playing for Man Utd is drastically different and the expectation would be for him to hit the ground running from the first game.
Ideally, what Man Utd need this summer is a striker who is experienced in the Premier League and has a track record of scoring goals.
However, they have to make do with the talents they are able to attract and it remains to be seen if they make an attempt to sign Moise Kean in the coming days.
