Now, as per Tutto Juve, Man Utd are ready to finally sign Fofana by beating the competition from Italian giants, Juventus, and French champions, Paris Saint-Germain.

The 24-year-old midfielder’s current contract with AS Monaco will expire in 2025 and he is valued at around £26million (30 million euros).

The former Strasbourg player can effectively play in the defensive/central midfield and has already made twelve appearances for the senior international side.

He made six appearances at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year as the Les Bleus lost the final on penalties against Argentina.

During the international break, Fofana scored a goal and provided an assist in the victory against Gibraltar.

Moreover, last night, he netted the equalizing goal in the Euro 2024 qualifying contest versus Greece.

In the summer, Man Utd signed Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat to reinforce the midfield but the duo have not been able to perform at the highest level at Old Trafford.

On the other hand, Casemiro and Eriksen are veterans and must be replaced soon. So, things in the center of the park must be strengthened by Erik ten Hag.

In your view, should Man Utd pay £26million to sign Youssouf Fofana?
