Man Utd ready to make important offer to close signing of £43million star – Report

Andre Onana Cameroon

Manchester United are serious about signing Andre Onana from Inter Milan to replace David De Gea at Old Trafford.

As per a story covered by La Gazzetta Dello Sport today (news image provided below), Man Utd are ready to make ‘an important offer’ to sign the Cameroonian international this summer.

Transfer: Man Utd ready to submit the right bid to sign £102.6million star

The renowned Italian news source have mentioned that the 20-time English champions are thinking about moving in with a bid worth 40 million euros.

However, it is reported the Nerazzurri would like to have at least 50 million euros (£43million) from the sale of the goal keeper they signed last year.

De Gea’s contract will expire next week, GdS claim United are waiting for his departure and then they will move in to close the signing of Onana.

Apart from the Old Trafford outfit, Real Madrid are now interested in the African star as well and they too are ready to make an offer to sign him.

The Los Blancos already have a world class shot stopper in the form of Courtois (contract till 2026), so, it is not clear why they are even linked with another goalie at the moment.

Onana won every major domestic title with Ajax under the management of Ten Hag before joining Inter Milan.

Last season, he completed the cup double at the San Siro and was also fantastic in the UEFA Champions League.

Have your say – Should Man Utd offer £43million to sign Andre Onana?

  1. After the way they have treated De Gea, they have no choice to go after Onana or Costa. They need a top class keeper. I don’t blame De Gea if he doesn’t sign the deal being asked to take a paycut because of FFP rules while they offer Rashford £375k a week is a joke. Nobody at United should be on more than £250k
