Man Utd ready to make official £40million offer having secured contract for signing – Report

Rasmus Hojlund - Denmark

Manchester United must reinforce their strike-force this summer and Rasmus Hojlund is the most heavily linked forward at the moment.

As per an exclusive story covered by Italian journalist, Rudy Galetti, for Sports Buffer, Man Utd are ready to offer a fee worth £40million to sign the Danish international this summer.

It is reported that Atalanta are asking for a figure of around £50million for their prized asset.

Initially, the Old Trafford outfit moved in and discussed the idea of sending Mason Greenwood to the Italian club to lure Hojlund.

However, the Bergamo side were not interested in luring the pacy Manchester United forward.

So, now Man Utd are ready to make an official offer of around £40million to test the resolve of the Serie A side having already secured terms of a contract with the striker.

Atalanta earned fifth place in the league last season and will be taking part in the Europa League next season.

On the other hand, Erik ten Hag can offer Hojlund the chance to feature in the UEFA Champions League in the 2023-24 campaign.

Ideally, United need an already established star like Harry Kane or Victor Osimhen but Spurs are hard to negotiate and the asking price slapped on the Nigerian by Napoli is prohibitive.

In your view, does Rasmus Hojlund have what it takes to lead the attack for the Red Devils next season?

  1. Does Hojland have what it takes to lead the line next season? To be honest I don’t know, he is very young and inexperienced but then all young players are. But United actually need two strikers this summer as we never replaced Cavani or Ronaldo and as we have seen in the past Martials form drops if he isn’t first choice (when he is fit). I would sell Martial but who would want to buy him with his injury record.
