Man Utd ready to offer more than valuation to secure £50.7million signing – Report

Riccardo Calafiori - Bologna

Manchester United have been linked with Riccardo Calafiori this month and the latest reports suggest they are ready to offer more than the player’s market value to sign him.

Earlier this month, we covered a story via Corriere Torino stating that Bologna value their prized asset at around 25 million euros.

Moreover, last night, we published another report, this time from Tutto Juve, indicating that Calafiori is valued at 40 million euros and Man Utd are not afraid of the price.

According to Spanish source, Fichajes, Man Utd are willing to offer a fee close to £50.7million (60 million euros) to secure the signing of Calafiori.

The Old Trafford outfit desperately need to strengthen their backline and believe the Italian international has the right profile.

The 22-year-old star featured in 37 games for Bologna in all competitions last season and kept 16 clean sheets as the Rossoblu booked a place in Europe’s elite competition.

At the European championships, so far, he has featured for every minute for the Azzurri and we can expect him to start in the all important final group game vs Croatia tomorrow night.

Erik ten Hag’s team leaked fifty eight goals in the Premier League last season, and without reinforcing the defense properly, United will not bounce back next season.

In your opinion, should Man Utd pay £50.7million to sign Riccardo Calafiori?
