Manchester United have continued to be on a downward spiral this season. Following a poor start to this term, they decided to part ways with Erik ten Hag.
Even after appointing Ruben Amorim as the new head coach, things have deteriorated in recent times. Having beaten Manchester City away from home a few weeks ago, it was thought that United had turned a corner.

However, following back-to-back defeats against AFC Bournemouth and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League, they remain in the bottom half of the table.
Amorim’s side have now dropped down to 14th position and are currently closer to the relegation zone than the top four.
Goal-scoring has been a huge issue for the Red Devils as they have netted only 21 goals in the league thus far and only four teams have scored fewer than them.
Now, Spanish outlet, Fichajes, state that Man Utd are keen on addressing this issue by signing a new striker in January and are ready to spend around £63.3m to lure Galatasaray star, Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian moved to the Turkish giants from Napoli on a season-long loan deal last summer. So, the Red Devils will have to pay an extra fee to the Turkish giants to break the loan and secure the striker’s service.
Osimhen has a £75m release clause in his current deal but the Azzurri would accept a figure of £63.3m in January should Man Utd move in.
Other clubs are also interested in the forward but the 20-time English champions are the main candidates to hire him and talks between them and the player’s representatives have been progressing well.
After joining the Cimbom, the African star has enjoyed a productive campaign in the Super League and the Europa League this term, scoring 12 goals and registering four assists in 15 appearances.
Osimhen has the qualities to address the goal-scoring issues at Old Trafford if he were to move to Man Utd next month. What do you think?
