If reports in the media are anything to go by then Manchester United are ready to pay over £89million to sign Declan Rice in the summer.

Transfer: Man United make crazy offer to sign £33million star – Decision made

In such a scenario, things must be improved in the center of the park and once again, the West Ham United versatile star is in the focus.

According to 90min, Man Utd are ready to break their transfer record to sign the England international, who is also on the radar of Chelsea and Manchester City.

Back in 2016, the Red Devils agreed a club-record deal worth £89million to bring Pogba back to Old Trafford from Italian giants Juventus (BBC). Now, they are ready to pay more for Rice.

Few days back, the Hammers’ boss, David Moyes, said that the 23-year-old midfielder is rated at £150million, however, 90min claim that a fee close to £120million might be enough to hire his services in the summer.

At the moment, Man Utd’s only natural DM is Nemanja Matic. The former Chelsea player, 33, has only started 10 games in the league this season and must be replaced.

This term, apart from being a solid presence in front of the backline, Rice has directly contributed in 8 goals as well (4 goals and 4 assists). He was an integral member of Southgate’s squad that reached the final of the Euros last year and he would be a key player at the World Cup as well.

In your view, should Man Utd pay over £89million to sign Rice?
